Porcelain veneers are a simple way to get immediate results. At Masterpiece Smiles we can use these thin, custom-made shells to cover the front side of your tooth, helping to strengthen and stabilizing your teeth while covering up a range of flaws and delivering a more aesthetic appearance.
Our veneers are custom-made from materials that match the color or your natural teeth and provide the structural support you need to maintain appearance and functionality. And, since porcelain is a non-porous material, it is stain resistant and can reflect like just like your other teeth.
When Do You Need a Veneer?
The most common uses for porcelain veneers is to correct a number of issues, such as:
- Broken teeth
- Uneven or misaligned teeth
What Should You Expect?
The procedure for veneers is fairly simple. We will begin by removing a very small layer from the surface of the tooth. This will allow us to bond the veneer in place and make sure that it doesn’t change the feel of your teeth. It also means we won’t have to remove as much of the normal tooth as we might when you get a dental crown.
Once we have a workable surface, the wafer-thin veneer is bonded in place, and you will be able to bite, brush, chew and floss just like you do on your other teeth. And these veneers are made to last. In some cases, patients have had the same veneers for up to 20 years.
